Hornsby State Emergency Service (SES) is coming along again!

Cherrybrook 'Movie Under the Stars' - 7 March 2015 (28)The Hornsby Unit of the NSW State Emergency Service (SES) is joining the event along for the kids to explore their rescue truck and boat and to learn about keeping safe in our community.

… and don’t forget to meet their mascot Paddy Platypus! He’s great at helping kids to learn and remember the things they could do to stay safer in floods and storms.

The Hornsby SES is an emergency and rescue service dedicated to assisting the community in storms, floods and other natural risks. It is made up almost entirely of volunteers.

Groups like the Hornsby SES, along with Scouts, have very similar aims and aspirations when it comes to active citizenship, community safety, and helping out where we live.

We’re delighted they’ll be coming along!
