Meet our Event Ambassadors – Michelle Jenneke and Du’aine Ladejo!

Some of the Joeys (6-8 years old), Cubs (8-10 years old) and Scouts (11-14 years old) from 1st Cherrybrook Scout Group got to meet our Event Ambassadors Michelle Jenneke and Du’aine Ladejo during a media photo with local news to promote the Cherrybrook ‘Movie Under the Stars’ event on Saturday 5 March.

Michelle Jenneke is Cherrybrook’s most famous daughter (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Michelle_Jenneke) – Youth Olympics medallist, Commonwealth Games finalist, 2nd fastest 100 metre hurdle woman in Australian history, and the ‘Dancing Hurdler’ from Cherrybrook Athletics Club with 27 million views of her YouTube video.

Du’aine Ladejo is a new Hornsby resident (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Du%27aine_Ladejo) – Olympic medallist, Commonwealth medallist, European Champion, ‘Predator’ from the UK Gladiators TV show, and Producer of ‘Australia’s Greatest Athlete’.

All of us at 1st Cherrybrook Scout Group are so proud that such high achieving people with a message of ‘try hard’ and ‘have fun’ are ambassadors for the event.

Michelle Jenneke will be competing in Melbourne on Saturday 5 March during the event but Du’aine Ladejo will be attending with his family and looks forward to meeting all the local kids with a great message about trying to do your best!
