Hornsby State Emergency Service (SES) will be there – come explore the rescue truck and boat!

The Hornsby Unit of the NSW State Emergency Service (SES) is joining the 6th annual Cherrybrook ‘Movie Under the Stars’ event on Saturday 4 March 2017 for the kids to explore their rescue truck and boat and to learn about keeping safe in our community … and don’t forget to meet their mascot Paddy Platypus! He’s great at helping kids to learn and remember the things they can do to stay safer in floods and storms.

The Hornsby SES is an emergency and rescue service dedicated to assisting the community in storms, floods and other natural risks. It is made up almost entirely of volunteers.

Groups like the Hornsby SES, along with Scouts, have very similar aims and aspirations when it comes to active citizenship, community safety, and helping out where we live.

We’re delighted they’ll be coming along and thank them for their ongoing support of this event.
